the Penny / Sforzando design thread.
well we knew this thread was also coming huh! sforzando was probably the character i had the most fun drawing aside from poco apoco but yknow. Yknow. ANYWAYS.
i had a tough time figuring out what i wanted to do with sforzando's design exactly but from the vibes i was given, i was aiming to look for characters/inspirations that had a twofaced nature, had a mad scientist vibe, generally unhinged behaviour etc etc but sforzando was also calculating and smart! shes insane but also like. Not. y'know.
she went through some iterations of how her outfit should look and i think we ended up with a really good final design! had a lot of fun workshopping her "disguise" as penny to make her look as innocent and easygoing as possible lol... also her hair was going to make Some sense at first but i think it was RJ that said it might be cool to have her hair just completely make no sense in the "transformation" ... its funny to think about her redying her hair while beat is unconscious but i think it might just be Funny Anime Magic. who knows. i dont know how you'd make the wig for this cosplay.
and of course, the final sheets! sforzando was an absolute joy to figure out and also really fun to draw lol i got to animate quite a few of her scenes for cutscene anims and i was very happy to get to draw her. i love u evil women <3
